Gentlemen,
I need an expert’s advice on this problem: we’ve got tumbre driers that were designed for 230V/50Hz supply voltage. We supply them by 210V/60Hz. The voltage shouldn’t be any problem (just a bit less power to heaters) but the FREQUENCY seems to be a real issue. Dries don’t do any good job: there are dry spots and wet spots on them. I’d say that this is because the drum rotation speed, being 20% higher than designed, is just too high and makes a centrifugal effect, pressing the clothes to the drum walls, not allowing for their free motion. I’d like to hear your opinion. As you sure know, it’s not cheap to change the frequency of the supply, so I’d like to have my a/m opinion confirmed by an expert before I’ll try to supply drier motor by 50Hz, leaving the biggest power consumer = heater on 60Hz.
